our
philosophy
Nature Climbing sprouted from a simple idea in 2014: to create climbing gear that bridges the gap between indoor and outdoor climbing.
This led us to create our first real rock holds, but has since expanded to much more – all of it intended to get climbers in closer contact with the natural origins of our sport and help them accomplish their goals.
In our small workshop in Denmark, we infuse our love for climbing and the planet into everything we make.
Our gear is thoughtfully designed, blending the practicality needed for peak performance with the elegance of natural materials.
At the same time, we place a priority on sustainability, sourcing all of our materials locally and making every product by hand.
Each item is a piece of our shared passion, shaped to perfection with input from climbers who know the crags and walls as well as they know the callouses on their own hands.

Our
Origin Story
My mother is a glass blower.
As a child, I basically grew up in her workshop, watching her turn melted sand into beautiful pieces of art. I often accompanied her as she walked through the forest, taking in the trees, flowers, and berries which would appear later as inspirations in her pieces. My mom’s glassblowing business would later serve as the philosophical and practical base for what eventually became Nature Climbing.
When I was 15, like many psyched young climbers, I decided to build a home wall. The only problem? I couldn’t afford climbing holds. Walking on the beach one day, I realized that there were holds strewn all over the sand – why ship in expensive plastic holds when I could create ones from nature’s bounty, which were more suited to training for my outdoor projects anyway?
Using my mother’s glass cutting tools I began cutting and shaping the stones I found on the beach. These early prototypes were ugly, but they worked. I was inspired to make them better.
Over a decade later, our products still reflect that origin story. Using wood and rock harvested sustainably and locally, we still craft everything by hand. And though it takes more time, we don’t mind – it’s worth it to create something unique, beautiful, and natural.
