This remarkable Block is designed and made in the U.S.A. by our partner Tension Climbing.
The Block might be the single most useful block of wood we’ve ever made. It has edges, pinches, pockets and crimps. Once you start using it you’ll realize that there is a lot more to it than meets the eye. Use them individually or in pairs to pick up weight off the floor, hang them from the ceiling, attach to a cable machine, combine with resistance bands… the possibilities are endless. Oh yeah, and all the grips are immediately adjustable to be sloped, flat, or in-cut!
Training: Use the blocks either individually or in pairs to train nearly any grip type and position. Hang two Blocks and treat them just as you would a traditional hangboard. Pick weight up off of the ground with The Block to train individual fingers or grip types that aren’t yet ready for full bodyweight.
Warm-up: Take The Block anywhere to use as a warm-up tool. Hang from a sturdy object, pull against your foot, exercise band, or a stationary object to get your fingers primed for difficult climbing.
Rehab: Under the oversight of a healthcare professional, The Block can be used to rehab and train around finger injuries. It can also be used to keep fingers in top shape when other factors may prevent the use of a traditional hangboard.
Tool-less Adjustment: No wrenches required! All grip positions on The Block are not only accessible by simple rotation, each edge and pocket can be made in-cut, flat, or sloped by attaching The Block by either one or both ends of the 6mm cord (included).

ANGLE TYPES
Our holds come in three different angles: sloped, vertical and incut. Sloped holds are the most advanced to climb on, as the 30° angle requires good finger strength and technique. Vertical holds offer a flat surface and are fairly easy to grip, which makes them very versatile in their use on the climbing wall. Incut holds have a 15° angle towards the wall, offering a more stable grip and thus making them perfect for training on overhangs.
GRAY GRANITE / ROSE SANDSTONE
You can choose between two different stone types for your new holds / rails / hangboards. They either come in gray Finnish Granite or in the rose-colored Italian Sandstone. The granite has a naturally rough surface, which is easy to grip and will prepare your hands for outdoor bouldering in Southern Switzerland or Yosemite National Parc. The sandstone is a bit more smooth and great for training on less grippy surfaces like in Fontainebleau and the Red Rock Canyon.
RAW WOOD / SHIELDED WOOD
We offer all of our holds/rails / hangboards in two different surface finishes. We can leave the wood raw, so it stays lighter in color and results in a very natural looking aesthetic and you can profit from the friction of the wood when climbing. Shielding the wood makes the wood richer in color and makes the surface water repellent and removes the friction of the wood. If you plan on washing your holds regularly, we recommend getting shielded climbing holds.
Wooden Sliders
Our sliders are designed as add-ons for our hangboards, allowing you to customize the ledge size for your training sessions by reducing its dimensions.
Each slider boasts a 6 mm (0.25") thickness and is equipped with a magnet on its back, enabling you to easily attach it to the hangboard. Additionally, you have the flexibility to stack two sliders on top of each other, effectively increasing the total thickness to 12 mm (0.5").
