WELCOME TO OUR WORLD OF

CRAFTSMANSHIP AND CLIMBING

At Nature Climbing, climbing is our passion. We want to create the highest quality of gear and products, to make your climbing experience even better. We use only the best natural, raw materials and transform them into our exceptional designs.

All of this happens in our own workshop in Aarhus, Denmark. It is located above a bouldering gym, so we can test all of our new designs immediately and adjust them until they are perfect. This kind of craftsmanship and dedication for climbing products is unmatched and something we are extremely proud of.

CLIMBING EQUIPMENT

FROM OUR WORKSHOP

From the first scribbled sketches on a piece of paper to the finished products leaving our workshop; we take the greatest pride in details. Details in all kinds of forms. Paying attention to selecting the best materials, refining ideas, perfecting shapes and testing the durability of the product vigorously. That is also why we make every product ourselves in our workshop in Aarhus, Denmark.

Coming from a family of craftsmen and -women, we have a true understanding of materials, durability and quality. We invent, design and produce everything with dedication and care, striving for only the highest functionality and aesthetic.

Selecting our suppliers with care, we make sure that quality is the foundation of every product we make. Whether it’s a piece of oak, Finnish or Norwegian granite or Italian sandstone, we source our materials as locally as possible.

THESE ARE OUR

ORIGINAL WOODIES

All of our products start with a careful selection of the raw material. For our ORIGINAL WOODIES we have found the most local and high-quality granite and wood.

First, the stone is cut into angled strips, while a CNC cutting machine gives the wood its rough shape. After attaching these two pieces to each other, we shape and file them by hand in multiple steps. This ensures that your climbing hold is perfectly smooth and round, with a seamless transition from wood to stone. We finish it off with an engraved piece of walnut wood, as well as two stainless steel washers.

THESE ARE OUR

GRANITE HOLDS

For our granite stone holds, we handpick stones with the most interesting features and shapes. We split these stones and grind the backside smooth, so it fits your climbing wall perfectly. The front side we leave as untreated as possible, only taking away some of the sharp edges. This way the stones keep their distinctive touch to them, combining in- and outdoor climbing in the best possible way.

We finish off the holds by drilling the holes into them, inserting the stainless steel washers and placing our walnut wood logo in the precision-cut notch.

THESE ARE OUR

CLIMBING BRUSHES

Our Nature Climbing Brushes are true masterpieces. They are made from European FSC-certified white maple wood, which is burnt around the sides to create a distinctive contrast.

All of the bristles are attached by hand. Compared with a machine brush, a handmade brush will last a lot longer and keep a more even tension. The mastery of brush making is a delicate craftsmanship, which takes years of experience to perfect. This is done for us by blind brush masters of the organization “Blindes Arbejde” in Denmark. Every single bundle of hair is tied down by hand separately using a wire. Over this binding, we place a walnut inlay, which is cut and hand-stamped by us afterwards.
