It depends on your wall angle, climbing level and the size of your wall. If you want help choosing, reach out to us and we'll guide you to the best setup.
We recommend 12–15 holds for a good boulder line.
The main difference is in look and feel. Beech is strong, plain and uniform, while oak has a more visible grain and a richer texture. Oak is generally more resistant to moisture and is often seen as the more premium option, while beech is widely available and easier to work with.
Granite has a naturally rough, high-friction surface, just like the rock you climb outdoors. It is a little harder on the skin than wood, which makes it ideal for skin training before a climbing trip.
All our stone is Norwegian granite. We use leftover stone from quarry digging that would otherwise be crushed into gravel, so it gets a second life as a climbing hold. We work with responsible suppliers and never take rock from climbing areas.
Not quickly. It takes years of climbing to polish our holds, and we have not seen that happen in more than 10 years of production. Over time, though, they will naturally wear down, just like real rock.
Yes. All Nature Climbing products have a 2-year warranty from the day you buy them. If your item breaks or has any other fault, you will receive a full refund or a replacement.
Skin care
There are three simple ways to prepare your skin: use skin products, train with friction, and build skin through pressure. If you want the most climbing-specific option, training on stone holds is a great way to toughen your skin before a trip.
Real granite gives your skin the same friction and feel you experience outdoors. That makes it one of the best ways to prepare for climbing outside, because your skin gets used to real rock instead of just plastic holds.
Yes, our holds are tested according to the EN 12572-3 standard.
Yes, as much as possible. We use FSC-certified wood, reuse leftover Norwegian granite from quarry digging that would otherwise become gravel, and work with local Scandinavian suppliers. Our holds are made in Denmark, which keeps transport short.
Most products from Nature Climbing and Rhino Skin Solutions are vegan. The exception is our climbing brushes, which are made with boar's hair bristles.
